Denver is an attactive city with a lot of space. The whole state of Colorado only has 4 million people in it; so Denver itself is relatively quiet. We just didn't see streets crowded with people all the time we were there. That makes for a relaxing time - especially when you are used to walking around busy UK cities such as London and Brighton. When we arrived in Denver, in July, it was thundering - in fact the plane landed in thunder. But an hour later - it was clear and sunny! Remarkable to us - but common in Denver in the summer. We had trips planned to the famous Botanical Gardens, and we found out that the pretty Chery Creek suburb had an arts festival in the street over the next 2 days. The trip to Denver was getting more and more interesting!
